Deployment and Licensing

TeamSmart offers a variety of deployment and licensing options. Customers can host TeamSmart themselves or they can have TeamSmart Corporation host their site in TeamSmart's secure data center. In addition, licenses are available on a named user or concurrent user basis. These options are described in detail below.

TeamSmart is committed to working with our customers to solve their particular needs. While our standard deployment and licensing options are adequate for most customers, we're eager to work with you to create an approach that meets your requirements.

Deployment options

TeamSmart can be deployed in one of two ways.

Hosted: Hosted deployment involves using TeamSmart's secure data center to host the application. Users can access their TeamSmart database from anywhere on the internet. Services such as firewall configuration, database backup and web server maintenance are provided by the TeamSmart data center staff. Each customer installation is allocated its own private database for maximum data separation and security. Hosted deployment is provided on a subscription basis.

Enterprise: Enterprise deployment is the traditional software deployment model where customers purchase and install the product for onsite use. In this scenario TeamSmart customers host the application from their own data centers and grant access to internal and external users as they see fit. Customers provide their own database maintenance and backup services as needed.

Licensing model options

Two licensing options are available for TeamSmart installations.

Named User Licensing: With the named user model, user licenses track the total number of users defined in the TeamSmart database. For example, a 100 named user license allows 100 users to use TeamSmart, all of them at the same time. Named user licensing is available both for hosted and enterprise deployments.

Concurrent User Licensing: With the concurrent user model, the number of user licenses corresponds to the maximum number of users that can access the application at any given time. For example, a 50 concurrent user license allows 50 users to log in to TeamSmart at one time, (and many more users can be defined in the database).

Your data is safe with TeamSmart. All TeamSmart hosted accounts come with the following features and services.

Data Security:
Data for each hosted account is stored in a secured, dedicated SQL Server 2000 database.

Offsite Backup:
Data for each hosted account is backed up on a daily basis and stored offsite in a secure facility.

Power:
Our facility is served by two independent power feeds from different utility company plants. Our power supply is protected with two one-megawatt generators backing up each feed for a total of four generators providing 150% backup.

Environmental Controls:
Our building has a fully redundant Leibert HVAC system which maintains temperature and humidity to rigid standards.

Fire Detection and Suppression:
Our facility is equipped with a Vespa Fire Detection System along with electronic smoke and fire detectors that are monitored 24x7. Our facility is also equipped with a pre-action dry sprinkler system along with fire extinguishers placed throughout the building.

Security and Access:
Physical security and access is provided by four security guards on duty all shifts, 24x7. Proximity cards and biometric authentication devices are used to limit access to authorized personnel.

Network Design and Backbone:
Our data center has direct fiber connections to nine tier one providers. Those providers include:
